Venerable hotel with great location which has seen better times
Great location and if you can get it, rooms with a view of the Jantar Mantar astrological observatory. Walkable to many interesting locales and also public transport. Regarding the breakfast, the fresh orange juice in season was welcome.
Unfortunately, for the price of a 4/5 star hotel you get dilapidated rooms and antiquated bathrooms. The lighting and electrical fixtures in our room were old and some did not function. The wastebin pedal was broken. Free breakfast in the morning was average and the coffee was provided in tiny cups: the ambience was of a high-end government cafe. There was also one small omelette station. Overall, the hotel is in a state of flux with some repairs ongoing. Not sure when they will end, but there is significant noise of drills and hammers. Stay during this period if you want the accessibility and can find a good deal.
